Tasting notes
The 2022 Domaine du Bouchot Pouilly-Fumé “Terres Blanches” is a precise and mineral-driven Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire Valley, grown on the region’s distinctive Terres Blanches (Kimmeridgian clay-limestone) soils.
In the glass, it displays a pale straw color with green reflections. The nose is vibrant and aromatic, revealing notes of citrus zest, green apple, and white peach, complemented by subtle hints of white flowers, flint, and fresh herbs.
On the palate, the wine is fresh, lively, and beautifully balanced, combining crisp acidity with a clean mineral backbone characteristic of Pouilly-Fumé. Flavors of lemon, grapefruit, and orchard fruits lead into a precise, flinty finish with excellent tension and length.
