Château Moutinot

Saint-Estephe

The Domain

Château Moutinot is a family-owned estate located in Bordeaux Supérieur, offering an authentic and approachable expression of Right Bank–influenced Bordeaux. The château is known for producing honest, fruit-driven wines that emphasise balance, freshness, and everyday drinkability.

The vineyard is planted predominantly to Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, on clay-limestone and gravelly soils. This terroir allows for even ripening and contributes to supple tannins, ripe fruit character, and a harmonious structure.

The Style

Viticulture is conducted with care and restraint, focusing on sustainable practices and controlled yields. In the cellar, winemaking follows a traditional Bordeaux approach, with gentle extraction and measured ageing to preserve fruit purity and softness rather than power or heavy oak influence.

Château Moutinot produces smooth, accessible Bordeaux wines with notes of red and dark berries, subtle spice, and a rounded finish. Appreciated for their consistency and value, these wines are well suited to casual dining, bistro cuisine, and by-the-glass selections.
