Château Piron
Saint-Emilion
The Domain
Château Piron is a discreet, family-owned estate located in Puisseguin–Saint-Émilion, on Bordeaux’s Right Bank. Known for its authentic approach and strong value proposition, the château produces classic, terroir-driven wines that reflect the character of the appellation while remaining approachable and food-friendly.
The vineyard is planted predominantly to Merlot, with a complementary proportion of Cabernet Franc, on clay-limestone soils typical of Puisseguin. These soils provide natural freshness, supple structure, and aromatic clarity. Viticulture is carried out with care and restraint, focusing on balanced yields and optimal ripeness to preserve harmony and drinkability.
The Style
In the cellar, winemaking follows a traditional Bordeaux approach, favouring gentle extraction and controlled ageing to highlight fruit purity rather than power. Oak is used judiciously, ensuring the wines retain a smooth texture and expressive fruit profile.
Château Piron produces elegant and accessible Right Bank Bordeaux with soft tannins, ripe red and dark fruit, and a balanced finish. Appreciated by sommeliers and private clients alike, Piron offers an excellent introduction to the Saint-Émilion satellite appellations, combining authenticity, consistency, and value.
