Tasting notes
The 2021 Château de Meursault “Clos du Château” Bourgogne Blanc is a refined Chardonnay from Burgundy, offering both generosity and precision.
In the glass, it displays a brilliant golden color. The nose is expressive and elegant, revealing aromas of ripe yellow fruits, white flowers, toasted hazelnuts, and buttered brioche, with subtle hints of citrus and minerality.
On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied and beautifully balanced, combining a creamy texture with vibrant freshness. Notes of stone fruits, citrus zest, and delicate oak unfold over a mineral-driven structure, leading to a long, refined, and elegant finish.
More About The Winery
With 60 hectares of vines – including 23 hectares in Premier Cru and Grand Cru appellations – Château de Meursault is one of the Côte de Beaune’s most prestigious estates. Its history dates back to the 11th century, and over the centuries it has passed through the hands of prominent Burgundy families, each leaving their mark.
In the 19th century, the Serre family expanded the estate and transformed the Château’s architecture, while later owners continued to develop its vineyards. In 1973, André Boisseaux, founder of the Kriter Group, restored the property with vision and passion. Since 2012, the estate has been under the stewardship of Olivier Halley, a dedicated wine lover deeply committed to Burgundy’s heritage.
Today, Château de Meursault produces wines that reflect the richness of its extraordinary terroirs, embodying finesse, depth, and the timeless grandeur of Burgundy.
