The 2023 Robert Groffier Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru La Grâce des Argiles comes from the southern, clay and marl-rich section of Les Amoureuses, which Nicolas Groffier vinifies separately from the sandy parcel. The result is a noticeably fuller, more muscular wine — deep purple in colour, with a lifted nose of ripe dark cherry, plum, mulberry and violet, laced with woodsmoke, earth and exotic spice. The palate is fleshy and medium-to-full-bodied, with velvety texture, concentrated dark fruit and bright, juicy acidity to keep it alive.
