Tasting Notes
The 2021 Château de Meursault Savigny-lès-Beaune Blanc is a fresh and elegant 100% Chardonnay from the Côte de Beaune, showcasing the vibrant and mineral character of the appellation.
In the glass, it reveals a pale golden hue with bright reflections. The nose is delicate and expressive, offering aromas of white blossom, lemon zest, and green apple, complemented by subtle hints of toasted almond and light oak.
On the palate, the wine is crisp, lively, and well-balanced, driven by bright acidity and a precise mineral backbone. Notes of citrus and orchard fruits unfold into a clean, flinty finish with excellent tension and freshness.
More About The Winery
With 60 hectares of vines – including 23 hectares in Premier Cru and Grand Cru appellations – Château de Meursault is one of the Côte de Beaune’s most prestigious estates. Its history dates back to the 11th century, and over the centuries it has passed through the hands of prominent Burgundy families, each leaving their mark.
In the 19th century, the Serre family expanded the estate and transformed the Château’s architecture, while later owners continued to develop its vineyards. In 1973, André Boisseaux, founder of the Kriter Group, restored the property with vision and passion. Since 2012, the estate has been under the stewardship of Olivier Halley, a dedicated wine lover deeply committed to Burgundy’s heritage.
Today, Château de Meursault produces wines that reflect the richness of its extraordinary terroirs, embodying finesse, depth, and the timeless grandeur of Burgundy.
