We have a significant new producer on our shelves, two focused spotlights on some of the most compelling family domains in France, and a pair of events worth marking in your diary.
New Arrival | Maison Édouard Delaunay — A Burgundy House Worth Knowing
If you've been following the Burgundy market seriously, the name Édouard Delaunay will already carry weight. For those just entering the world of fine French wine — welcome, and you've arrived at a good moment.
Maison Édouard Delaunay is a Burgundy négociant with over 160 years of history. Founded in 1893 in the Côte d'Or, the house has gone through careful reinvention in recent decades, emerging as one of the region's most respected producers of both village and grand cru wines. What distinguishes Delaunay is not just pedigree, but precision: the ability to express the individuality of each appellation without imposing a house style that flattens what makes Burgundy endlessly interesting.
We are proud to introduce their range to our shelves for the first time. Here is what you'll find:

Chambertin Grand Cru — The Chambertin vineyard sits in the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin and has been synonymous with greatness for centuries. Delaunay's interpretation is structured, aromatic, and built for the cellar. If you are looking for a collector's wine with genuine provenance, this is it.

Bourgogne 'Septembre' Chardonnay — An accessible entry point into Delaunay's white wine philosophy. Crisp, mineral, and well-defined. A bottle that punches above its appellation.

Vosne-Romanée — Delaunay's Vosne shows the characteristic elegance and silkiness that makes this commune so revered among serious collectors.

Spotlight On | The Devillard Family Domaines — Three Addresses, One Philosophy
This June, we turn our attention to three domaines from the Devillard family: Domaine des Perdrix, Château de Chamirey, and Domaine de la Garenne. Together, they represent one of the most coherent and impressive family portfolios in Burgundy, spanning the Côte de Nuits down to the Mâconnais.
- Domaine des Perdrix — Nuits-Saint-Georges
Based in Prémeaux-Prissey at the southern edge of the Côte de Nuits, Domaine des Perdrix produces wines from some of the finest Premier Cru sites in Nuits-Saint-Georges, as well as holdings in Échezeaux at grand cru level. The wines are deeply coloured, rich with dark fruit, and possess the kind of tannic structure that demands — and rewards — patience. If you are building a cellar with a ten-year horizon, Perdrix belongs in it.
- Château de Chamirey — Mercurey, Côte Chalonnaise
Château de Chamirey is one of the benchmark estates of Mercurey, an appellation that sits just south of the Côte de Beaune and consistently delivers remarkable value relative to its northern neighbours. The château produces both red and white wines from an impressive range of Premier Cru sites. The reds, made from Pinot Noir, offer a structure and complexity that surprises many who encounter them for the first time expecting something lighter. The whites, from Chardonnay, are precise and mineral.
- Domaine de la Garenne — Mâconnais
Completing the trifecta, Domaine de la Garenne produces Chardonnay from the Mâconnais — the southern tip of Burgundy where the vineyards open up, the climate warms, and the wines take on a rounder, more generous character. These are approachable wines with real terroir expression, and they represent some of the best value in white Burgundy.

Spotlight On | Château de Pibarnon — Bandol's Most Compelling Estate
Shifting south from Burgundy, dramatically south, we land in Bandol, the celebrated AOC on the limestone cliffs above the Mediterranean coast of Provence. And we land, specifically, at Château de Pibarnon: in our view, one of the finest estates not just in Bandol, but in all of southern France.
Pibarnon sits at altitude, unusually high for the appellation, at around 300 metres above sea level. This elevation gives the estate cooler nights, slower ripening, and a natural freshness that sets it apart from many of its neighbours. The soils are Triassic limestone, ancient and mineral, and the dominant grape variety, as is required in Bandol, is Mourvèdre.
The Red is a wine built for time. Mourvèdre is a variety that can appear closed and austere in its youth, but given a decade or more in bottle, it opens into something magnificent: dark herbs, leather, garrigue, spice, and a depth of fruit that speaks directly to the sun-baked terroir. Pibarnon's red has a cult following among collectors of southern French wine, and for good reason.
The Rosé is something else entirely, and I say this as someone who does not typically lead with rosé in a serious conversation about wine. Pibarnon's rosé stops you mid-sip. It is structured where most Provence rosés are flimsy, complex where most are simple, and it has a savoury, almost saline quality that makes it compelling with food in a way that few rosés manage. This is a rosé you think about after you've finished the bottle.

This is the kind of evening that reminds you why wine is worth understanding. Chef Ton's kitchen at As I Am will provide the setting and the food and the wines from Maison Édouard Delaunay will provide the thread that ties the courses together.
Alexia Martin, who oversees the house's distribution across Southeast Asia, will be present throughout the evening to guide the conversation, answer questions, and offer the kind of insight that only comes from someone who lives and breathes these wines professionally.

Our Thirsty Thursday format is simple: we open bottles, you taste them, and the conversation that follows tends to be the most interesting part of the evening. This edition will feature wines from Burgundy, Bordeaux, Corsica, and the Rhône Valley, a range that covers some of the most important and distinct wine-producing regions in France.
This is not a structured masterclass. It is an evening of discovery, designed for anyone who wants to expand their palate, ask questions in an unpressured environment, and find wines that might change what they keep on their list or in their rack at home.
