warm summers and well-timed September harvest conditions. Outstanding recent vintages for Saint-Emilion include 2015 (opulent, generous), 2016 (classic, structured), 2018 (rich,
generous), 2019 (perhaps the finest modern vintage on the Right Bank), and 2022 (warm and concentrated, needs time).
For buyers in KL who want to start drinking now: 2015 and 2016 are at or approaching their windows of optimal drinking. For cellaring: 2019 and 2022 are worth holding for another five to ten years.
